My Review:

Featuring a cast of talented young stars, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is an amusing and heartwarming comedy exploring the true meaning of Christmas through six misfit children who volunteer to lead in the town's annual Christmas performance. While the movie abounds in hilarious mischiefs and mishaps that make you laugh, it also includes quite a few touching moments that make your eyes well up. My favorite character is Imogene performed by Beatrice Schneider, who has nailed the role as well as Imogene plays Mary in the pageant.

By challenging prejudice and misconceptions, the movie prompts us to rethink what Christmas is all about and what is the best way to spread holiday cheer. It reminds us about why we treasure certain traditions as a community and that everyone deserves a chance to shine. With a clear message about kindness and inclusion, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever makes an entertaining and meaningful holiday movie to watch for the entire family.

My Review:

Featuring 12 original songs performed by an amazing cast including multiple Grammy Award winner Lecrae, Journey to Bethlehem is a cheerful, entertaining and uplifting movie that the entire family can enjoy during the holiday season. While keeping the essence of the well-known story intact, the movie adds a modern touch of humor and creativity to make it more engaging and memorable. It enriches and enlivens the characters by giving each a unique personality and by revealing their inner struggles. I'm particularly impressed by the multi-faceted portraits of Mary and the king's son Antipater.

Aside from its captivating storyline, the movie excels in its music production, ingeniously incorporating Christmas classics and pop songs into one jolly musical celebration. You may listen to all the soundtracks here. My favorites include "Mother To A Savior And King", "We Become We", "In My Blood" and "Brand New Life". If you're looking for a family-friendly Christmas movie with charming characters, beautiful songs, happy dances, and inspirational messages, this is the one I would recommend.

After being left alone and forgotten in various places, he finally gets to meet the one who finds him to be the perfect Christmas tree to take home!

Written from Needles' perspective, the book makes it easy for young readers to identify with the main character, to understand his feelings, and to root for him till the end. Using dreamy colors and realistic drawings, the illustrations add festivity and vitality to the story while reinforcing its messages about hope, beauty and happiness in artistic language.

One the one hand, the story urges youngsters to believe in their self-worth, to stick to their goals and not to give up hope when faced with obstacles and setbacks. On the other hand, it teaches about being kind and considerate to those who are different in some way, and warns against treating or judging someone solely based on their physical appearance. Nor do they give up the search or hope of their reunion. Moreover, they get to see beyond their own misfortunes, offer what they can to help those in need, and manage to mobilize support from the entire community, including churches, schools, businesses and individuals.

Well-acted and full of ups and downs, the movie is incredibly heartwarming and uplifting, while keeping the viewer's interest from beginning to the very end. It inspires us to give back to our community in creative ways, to get our children actively involved in acts of kindness, and not to give up hope at times of adversity. It's amazing to witness a simple idea turn into a viable charitable cause. It's the perfect family-friendly film to watch around Christmas, the season of giving!

EJ is super excited about visiting the Rockfeller Center to see the lighting of the Christmas tree there, which is said to possess the magic power of making wishes come true. On the ferry, he runs into a mean kid from class called Tommy, who asserts that Christmas is all about getting presents. Not convinced of Tommy's claim, EJ starts to reconsider his Christmas wish while wondering what Christmas is really about. The moment the tree is lit up, EJ figures out his Christmas wish, which involves a warm blanket, not for himself, but for the very person who helps him solve the puzzle.

Through a simple, straightforward story, the book makes the point that Christmas is more about giving than getting. It encourages kids to spread the holiday cheer with kindness and generosity. It also shows the positive role parents may play in raising a caring,considerate and altruistic child. The illustrations are realistic and colorful. The contrast between the shivering homeless and the cheerful crowd is particularly thought-provoking. This book makes a great conversation starter for discussing sharing and giving during the holiday season.
