My Friend Moose’r McDan Blog Tour: Review & Prize Pack Giveaway

Do you have a favorite book to read with your little one around the holidays? If you are looking for something to add to your holiday reading list this year, I'd highly recommend My Friend Moose’r McDan, a cute little picture book written by Sky Danley and a proud winner of the prestigious Moonbeam Children's Book Award!

My Review:
My Friend Moose’r McDan is a simple yet heart-warming story about a giant, blue moose named McDan, who is always wearing a big smile and ready to make new friends. His friendliness has the power to stop violence and transform his worst predator into a loving playmate!

The book features short, easy-to-understand sentences prefect for young readers, along with neat, colorful illustrations that enrich the story with interesting details. My favorite picture in the book is the one with the bear's gun down on the ground surrounded by beautiful wild flowers.

The story delivers a compelling and thought-provoking message against gun violence, while it promotes friendship, conservation and harmony with nature. I love that the book ends with a question, or rather, an invitation for the reader to extend the story by becoming McDan's next friend. Grab your child a copy of this lovely book and it'll likely become a new favorite for the holiday season and beyond!

About the Book

The gentle moose is sad because he lost his play friend, so he is again looking for a new one. He invites whoever is reading the book to become his new friend.

WowWee Fingerlings Baby Unicorn Gigi Giveaway {Two Turtle Doves Giveaway Hop}

If you ask me about the hottest toys of 2017, the first that comes to my mind must be the Fingerlings from WowWee. Besides the many colorful monkeys, the Fingerlings family includes a very special member named Gigi. Gigi is a white baby unicorn with rainbow hair. She's the cutest interactive pet toy that loves to hug your finger and that responds with sound or motion to your sound, motion or touch. Oh, isn't she pretty?

There are so many things Gigi the Fingerlings Baby Unicorn can do and there are so many ways you can play with her. Gigi makes unique unicorn sounds. She can blink her eyes and turn her head left and right. She giggles a lot and she is a pretty spontaneous singer. What she does depends largely on what you do to her. You can pet her on the head, blow her a kiss, brush her mane and tail, hold her upside down or even rock her to sleep. In fact, Gigi is capable of making more than 40 reactions. You just need to play with her to discover all that fun ways she responds to your touch and voice!

Look how adorable Gigi gets when she is asleep! But you need to be gentle and quiet because she is a rather light sleeper. Gigi is a tough girl too. She was accidentally dropped onto hard surfaces several times, but she remained intact and didn't seem to be bothered at all. You would think Gigi appeals more to little girls, but my boys seem to love her no less than the girls during their play date. So Gigi the Fingerlings Baby Unicorn would make an impressive gift for both boys and girls this holiday season.
