My Review:
Written with humor and wild imagination, The Girl and Her Noble Steed is a hilarious and heartwarming book about faith, friendship, sportsmanship, resolve and goodwill. The story centers around an energetic, kind-hearted, pious and fearless young girl named Ofe. Ofe is determined to win the Race for Little Ginos not only because she's got talent and passion for the animal-riding sport, but also because she desperately needs the prize money to save the beloved orphanage she grows up in from being shut down due to lack of funds. She manages to get grumpy former champion Borko onboard as her trainer, who brings along his speedy yet clumsy donkey Zo. Does the trio have what it takes to pull off a big win?
From funny-sounding words to comical illustrations, the book certainly has what it takes to charm and entertain fun-loving readers. Cleverly fusing important values into an amusing adventure, it teaches about kindness, fairness, gratitude, bravery, determination, and problem-solving.
