My Review:
Jimmy Chartron and the Lost Keystone is a magnificent, mesmerizing page turner, with the perfect blend of action, adventure, magic, mystery, and paranormal fantasy. I can't help but marvel at the story's impeccable logic and intricate design of details which may appear trivial or casual at first sight but click snugly together at the right moment to complete the full picture. The author proves himself an expert in depicting both subtle changes of feelings and splendid scenes of battle and gunfight. Readers may find themselves eager to find out what happens next but in the meantime, unwilling to let the story end.
My favorite part of the book is the unexpected friendship developed between a young lad and a century-old ghost who accidentally gets trapped inside his head. Jimmy is a very charming protagonist - smart, humorous, adventurous and courageous, combining the vitality of a teenager and the maturity of an orphan who has to survive hard times on his own for years. Tessa, on the other hand, is about the most likeable ghost figure one may encounter - strong, sensible, knowledgeable, resourceful and caring. Jimmy's initial resistance to Tessa's influence gradually turns into reliance on her guidance, and the two makes one hell of a team!
If you love taking exhilarating adventures, then hop into the Jimmy Chartron roller coaster, fasten your seat belt, and get ready to be wowed by the many surprise turns and shocking revelations awaiting ahead!
