Although this is the first book I've read from the series, I'm pretty sure that Baby Chomper is the cutest nuggie of all! Besides looking adorable, he is also funny, happy, naughty, and highly imaginative. He acts and thinks like a little boy. My 5 year old loves reading the book over and over again. At first, he was attracted by the colorful, playful illustrations featuring fun objects. Then he was excited to discover quite a few words he can recognize and read aloud on his own. The more he read the book, the more he got fascinated by the story, because of the many things and scenarios he can easily relate to, and also because (I guess) that he could see a piece of himself somewhere in the lovely puppy.
What I love about the book, from a parent's perspective, is that it promotes positive thinking. It encourages the little ones to make the best out of things that may appear unpleasant at first, with what they are best at - imagination. All in all, Baby Chomper’s Bath Time is a delightful read for early readers and a great choice for parent-child story time. It makes me want to read all the other books in the series. In fact, one of you could win the entire series along with a Dyson Supersonic hairdryer!
About Baby Chomper’s Bath Time
Baby Chomper’s Bath Time is a lovable and waggable tale about a little puppy who loves to get dirty, but really dislikes getting freshened up. One day, baby Chomper escapes from home and gets muddy and stinky beyond belief. He rolls in the mud, takes a dive in the trash, and even gets sprayed by a very stinky skunk. When his owner finds him, Chomper returns home to find that it’s his least favorite time of all: BATH TIME! Floating among his toys and surrounded by bubbles, Chomper wishes he could just be dry, stinky, and free to play outside. But then, with nowhere else to go, Chomper realizes that bath time can be one of the most fun times of all! He imagines himself diving in the deep blue sea, being the captain of his own ship, and surfing to a faraway shore. Baby Chomper’s Bath Time is a playful story that encourages children to see the bright side of every situation.
