Pocoyo Bath Toy Review and Giveaway (48 Hours Only)

Since Pocoyo launched in the U.S. last fall, my son has been a die-hard fan of the show. He is often completely immersed in the story of Pocoyo (“little me” in Spanish) and his gang--Elly (the elephant), Pato (the duck), Loula (the dog) and Sleepy Bird. He loves to mimic whatever Pocoyo is doing in the show, giggling, dancing, hopping and speaking. Pocoyo resembles a real toddler boy in many ways. He is active, playful and inquisitive. He may even throw tantrums like only a toddler can. I guess that's why my son identifies so strongly with the cute, fun-loving little boy.

Pocoyo is definitely one of the best TV series tailored for preschoolers. I was sent this adorable Pocoyo Water Taxi (SRP $9.99) for review.My son was thrilled to see his favorite cartoon character "jump" off the TV screen in scuba outfit. He had tons of fun playing with it during bath time. He was particularly amused by the water bubbles created through the wheels of the vehicle while it was cruising in the tub.  The Water Taxi also moves freely on the floor or a smooth surface. Therefore, my son occasionally parks it alongside his toy cars.

Zibits Mini Collectible R/C Robots Review and Giveaway

Let me introduce Zibits, an army of collectible miniature robots with remote control developed by Senario LLC. These mini robots are fast-moving, well-trained, and able to perform stunts such as a swift 360 degree turn! Senario kindly sent us Zibits-Tank (silver) for review. The robot is small enough to fit into a toddler's hand (not intended for children under 3). It took only a few minutes for my son, who can't read instructions obviously, to master the art of maneuvering Tank with his Z-mote. With flashing eyes and special sound effects, the mini robot made speedy moves forward, backward and in circles. My son had tons of fun with this new friend. He even put Tank on his high chair tray and invited Tank to dinner. You do need a flat, smooth surface for Zibits to move around on. From our experience, they won't move on carpeted floor while most r/c cars can.

My son is not the only Zibits fan in our family. My husband is also fascinated by the unique design of these cute mini robots. No wonder Zibits won the 2010 Toy Insider Top Holiday Toys Award. They are a great toy that can entertain the entire family! Consider collecting all 12 robots along with a Power Lab ($29.99),  and your house will be turned into an incredible mini amusement park :)

Strollers are a must-have baby gear, especially for parents who love to take their children to outdoor activities. With so many different brands and types of strollers on the market however, it is not easy to pick the right stroller that best fits your needs. You could spend hours making comparisons over price, features, designs, colors and other key factors that may influence your purchasing decision.

We were recently offered the opportunity to test drive an Avio stroller in lime (my son's favorite color). This is the first high-end stroller we have ever owned, so everyone in the family were super excited about this fancy new addition to our home. My son asked for a ride in his new stroller immediately after it had been assembled by daddy. Switching from his worn-out umbrella stroller to Avio is like having an upgrade from a compact car to a limo. My son looks very comfortable and elated in his new vehicle.

We are a bit surprised (in a good way) about how many parts of the Avio stroller are adjustable. For instance, the footrest can be adjusted to 2 different positions, the backrest has 4 positions reclining up to 170 degrees, the hood flap can be extended to provide extra sun protection, and the lining is totally removable and hand washable.

I'm also impressed with how easy it is to push the stroller around with only one hand. My son loves giving his favorite teddy bear a ride in the stroller and he never experienced any problem pushing it forward or making sharp turns. The stainless steel frames and wide wheels make the stroller highly sturdy and durable. Although it costs more than the average stroller, it's sure to last a lot longer and well worth the investment.

My favorite feature has to be the one-handed fold. It clearly shows that the Avio stroller was designed with a mom's need in mind. It did take a little practice to get used to the system. But once you get the hang of it, it will significantly save you time and trouble when you have to handle baby and stroller at the same time. When folded, the stroller can easily fit into a car trunk or the corner of a coat closet.
