There was a time when I wanted to be a nurse, and then life got in the way and I got married, started working had two kids, moved and it just never seemed to be the right time. I am always so impressed with what nurses to and how far they will go for their patients. In honor of that Pampers is launching the Thank You Nurses campaign, and I can't think of any profession more worthy!

Potty Training Tips from Pampers, #PampersEasyUps Twitter Party & Prize Pack Giveaway ($50 AMEX Gift Card & More)!
Do you have a toddler who needs to be potty trained before starting preschool, and who has shown signs of readiness? Now you have the perfect weather and timing to get started. While potty training is an important stage that every child needs to get through, it can be very challenging at times, especially considering the inevitable accidents and the messes they will create. Pampers, the leading brand of diapers and training pants, has therefore teamed up with potty training expert Dr. Laura Jana, to suggest tips and tools that you may use to make the process less stressful for both you and your child.
Here are a few tips that I find most useful based on my own experience:
1. Patience is the best policy. As with any aspect of child care, patience is a parent's key to success. No matter how eager your toddler is to put in a big child's underwear, the transition cannot be accomplished overnight. It takes a lot of time and practice to master this gigantic milestone of childhood. Being patient also means to always side with your child during the learning process and allow for accidents and mistakes.
2. Have the right supplies on hand. You can significantly boost your child's potty success if you are equipped with such great tools as Pampers Easy Ups training pants, a well-fitted potty ring and a sturdy step stool, which may also add fun to potty time. Pampers Easy Ups makes the diaper-to-underwear transition smoother by allowing potty-training toddlers to get out of diapers and wear something with more of an underwear-like design that still helps keep accidental messes off clothing, bedding and other surfaces whether they happen at home, on-the-go or overnight.
Seeing their favorite cartoon characters like Dora and Thomas Train helps increase children's interest in wearing Pampers training pants and in going potty. Pampers Easy Ups are more absorbent and have fewer leaks than the other leading training pant. With up to 12 hours of protection for both day and night, Pampers Easy Ups give parents the peace of mind that their children will stay dry and comfortable as they learn to go potty on their own.

Pampers Little Miracle Missions & $300 Gift Card Giveaway!
I've got exciting news from Pampers. Thanks to all your support and commitment to the first Miracle Mission surrounding Mother’s Day, Pampers reached their initial goal and as promised, will be throwing 1,000 baby showers, with the help of Points of Light Institute, for expectant mothers across the country in May and June. If you're new to the Pampers year-long Little Miracle Missions campaign, please read my previous post and see how you can help to pay it forward.
Here's a video showing a Pampers-sponsored surprise baby shower for an expecting mom in Cleveland, Ohio. Besides lots of baby necessities, the lucky mom even received a brand new Dell laptop. Wow! I've also included below a couple pictures from the event.
Mission #2 is to make a dad's first Father’s Day one he’ll never forget. Once 4,000 people pledge to find a way for fathers to bond with their babies, Pampers will respond by throwing special Father’s Day cook-outs for dads and babies across the country. You can participate by logging on to Pampers Facebook page, landing on the Miracle Missions tab and clicking “I WANT TO HELP.” Plus, you will be given the chance to win a year’s supply of Pampers diapers and wipes after taking the pledge!
Required Entry: Follow my blog publicly via Google Friends Connect and leave a comment telling me how you would use the $300, if you won, to throw a baby shower and who would be the expectant mom you plan to help. Please provide a thoughtful and detailed answer to help Pampers gather some great ideas! Feel free to share it on Pampers Facebook page too (Please leave a valid email address in your comment or in this form, or make sure one is visible in your blogger profile).
Extra Entries (optional): please make sure you do the required entry first! Please leave a separate comment for each extra entry, i.e. 1 comment=1 entry.
Please leave the link to your tweet in your comment.
Disclosure: I was not compensated in any form for hosting this giveaway. The sponsor will send the prize directly to the winner.

Pampers Little Miracle Missions & $50 AMEX Gift Card Giveaway!
~~The giveaway is CLOSED. Congrats to winner Helen!~~
In celebration of its 50th birthday, Pampers has recently launched its Little Miracle Missions campaign, a program that delivers acts of kindness to miracles and their families while encouraging parents to support others. The campaign is intended to recognize how much parenting has changed over the years and to share the brand's belief that every baby is a little miracle that deserves to be celebrated, supported and protected. During the week of of April 11th, 2011, Pampers kicked off the Little Miracle Missions campaign by delivering a giant act of support--donating over 30,000 care packages to Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) across the country. Celebs Joey Lawrence , Ali Larter, Mark Consuelos and LaLa Anthonywere on-hand in New York City to personally deliver a care package and thank you basket to Mt. Sinai Hospital and their staff.
Everyone can easily participate in the Miracle Missions program and support little miracles across the country by logging on to Pampers Facebook page, clicking on the Miracle Missions tab and committing to a mission by clicking “I WANT TO HELP.”
Mission 1 is Mother's Day Surprise. Pampers is asking everyone to pay-it-forward by congratulating and offering support to an expectant mother with a gift or surprise gesture. Once more than 2,500 people pledge that they have achieved this mission, Pampers will respond by giving baby showers to expectant mothers nationwide just in time for Mother’s Day. The goal has already been reached before the proposed deadline. Amazing! As a bonus, anyone who pledges is eligible to win a year’s supply of Pampers diapers and wipes, which can definitely help someone in a big way! You may enter once per day for better chances of winning.
Pampers will issue different missions throughout the entire year to celebrate all aspects of parenthood, and with the help of parents, family and friends, they hope to touch the lives of every baby born in the next year.
Pampers kindly provided me with a $50 gift card to pay-it-forward in my community. I've decided to put together a newborn gift basket and give it to hubby's co-worker, whose baby girl just turned 5 days old. The gift basket consists of the following goodies available at Walmart:
*Pampers Swaddlers Diapers with DRY MAX Value Pack ($20)
*Child of Mine by Carter's Newborn Short-Sleeve Bodysuits 5-Pack ($10)
*American Red Cross by First Years Baby Healthcare Kit ($8)
*MAM BPA Free 5-oz. Bottles 3-Pack ($13)
What do you think of my selection? How would you take the challenge if you were provided with $50? Get your creative juices flowing and share your idea with us!
