My Review:
Five Little Angels is a simple and soothing read with powerful and uplifting messages. Somewhat reminiscent of the Five Little Monkeys nursery rhyme, the story follows five little angels up in the sky as they hop on a cloud to take a peek at earth below. They dance with joy at the sight of children doing good deeds and fall off the cloud by accident one at a time until there is only one left. The last angel flies off to join the other four in singing lullabies and leaving a magical message in the sky.
Using gentle pastel hues, the book depicts five adorable little angels with different hair and skin colors. Surrounded by colorful stars up in the sky, they watch over kids living in different parts of the world, including busy cities and serene countryside. While learning to count backwards, young readers may have fun spotting playful animal characters in the pictures, such as a curious cat, singing birdies, and traveling turtles. They may also enjoy finding out where each angel lands after falling off the cloud.
Through the eyes of the little angels, the book shows examples of acts of kindness, which make the world a better place to be and the angels very pleased. The little ones are inspired to be caring and kind to people and animals around them and to spread joy and love wherever they go. This is one heavenly read that you don't want your little angel to miss!
