After a fun outing Trick-or-Treating, the little monster, witch, and ghost — or sisters — agree that this was the best Halloween of all.

My Review:

As the latest addition to the Bobos Babes Adventures series, Bobos Babes Adventures: a Magical Halloween is an enchanting and entertaining read with a wonderful mix of magic, mystery, and kid-friendly humor. As excited about the Halloween as most kids are, the magical sisters, Angel Scarlett, Fairy Cora, and Princess Daphne, can't wait to dress themselves up and go trick-or-treating in the land of Harmony. The talented costume designer Gavin the Grasshopper has custom-made three unique masks for the young ladies, who have to wait until the right time to unbox their surprises. What makes those masks so special? Will all the girls enjoy their new costumes? How will their Halloween adventure turn out?

Featuring cleverly-written rhymes, colorful illustrations and adorable characters, the book is sure to fascinate young readers who love Halloween as an opportunity to get creative, get adventurous, and have lots of fun. The girls set great examples for following directions, and being honest and patient. As a result, they become their better selves with more courage and confidence. Their costume shopping experience demonstrates the proper manners for greeting people, making meaningful interaction, and showing genuine appreciation. More importantly, the story suggests that a person's inner qualities matter a lot more than their appearance. It's a perfect read to celebrate Halloween as well as the fall season!

Yandy.com Halloween Costume Review

With Halloween drawing really close, a lot of moms have already started costume shopping for their kids. But hey ladies, you deserve a costume of your own! I was recently introduced to Yandy.com, a website dedicated to providing Sexy Halloween Costumes for adult women.  It carries an amazing selection of over 2,000 standard and plus size costumes. I was looking for something colorful, youthful, and completely different from my usual dressing style. Made with 100% cotton, the dress is comfortable to wear and easy to take care of. The shipping was impressively fast (2 days) and cost a flat rate of $5.95.

Despite how I love the costume, I can't fit in it. I ordered according to my usual dress size, but it turned out to be smaller, especially around wait and hip. Instead of requesting an exchange, I gave the costume to my cousin, who's slimmer than me. The dress fit her beautifully. Each costume on Yandy.com has its unique size chart. It's important that you check all the numbers on the chart to get the right size. From my experience, you'd better size up a bit when you order.

I also bought a pair of Opaque Footless Tights W/ Skull & Heart Print and Sheer Pantyhose in black. They both fit me well. I love that Yandy.com recommends matching accessories for most of their costumes, such as petticoat, stockings, or shoes. This feature makes one-stop shop really easy.

When I think about Halloween, the words and images that come to my mind are kids, candies, pumpkins, and costumes. I have never seriously dressed up for Halloween as an adult. I did put on a witch's hat in order to attend a costume party in college, but that was all.
