Looney Tunes Eating Right Kids Food Review

I introduced to you earlier about Eating Right Kids products newly launched by Safeway and Warner Bros. Consumer Products. Did you have a chance to try them? Luckily, Team Mom sent me a cute Eating Right Kids lunch bag for review and I'd love to share my experience with you.

A few recaps of what makes this new product line unique. The Eating Right Kids line features beloved Looney Tunes characters and over 60 items across 18 categories including breakfast foods, produce, portable meals, dairy, snacks, beverages and frozen entrees. The food and beverages are not only tasty, but nutritious, formulated to standards based on the most recent dietary recommendations and regulations from several federal and state agencies.

Eating Right Kids is an offshoot of Safeway's Eating Right line for adults, which we buy quite often, especially the salad and cereals. Warner Bros. has in fact taken the extra step of clearing retail shelves of the Looney Tunes themed foods that fail to meet a "better-for-you" standard. The new line is sold exclusively at more than 1700 Safeway locations throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Inside the lunch tote featuring Bugs Bunny, we found a canned pasta (Whole Wheat Macaroni & Beef in Tomato Sauce), a mixed fruit cup, a Milk Chocolate Coating Chewy Bar, and a bottle of 100% apple juice. Overall, we like the mix of products and the colorful packaging. My favorite is the chewy bar. It's very delicious and provides a good source of calcium and fiber. I like the microwaveable packing of the pasta. It's convenient to use and has the right portion size for kids. But I do think the flavor we tried is a bit too strong and salty by my standards. Remember that I have a strong preference for low-sodium food.

If you're on the lookout for easy to make snacks and meals for your kids, the Eating Right Kids line is definitely worth trying because besides its convenience features, it unites great taste and nutrition. And the Looney Tunes characters will certainly add fun to kids mealtime.

Thanks a lot to Team Mom for this great review opportunity!
