Summer officially starts today! Wendy's is inviting you to a fun Twitter party discussing nutritious eating on the go. Summer months will see lots of American families travel and follow a busy schedule. Knowing that people are paying more attention to health and wellness, Wendy's has been offering new menu items to reflect those interests. Wendy’s registered dietitians Patty Wynkoop and Mike Sieminski, who work closely with the Wendy’s culinary team to find new ways to come up with tasty and nutritious menu items, will join the Twitter party to provide their insights into nutritious on-the-go options.

Wendy's Father's Day Frosty Weekend & $10 Gift Card Giveaway

This Sunday is Father's Day. Would you like to celebrate Dad in a special and meaningful way? Continuing its Father’s Day Frosty Weekend tradition for the sixth year in a row, Wendy’s is inviting everyone to help raise money for Wendy’s Wonderful Kids--the signature program of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption dedicated to finding permanent adoptive families for children in foster care.

Here's how you could help Wendy's reach their goal of $1.4 million donation:

1. Buy any Frosty product: On Saturday, June 16 and Sunday, June 17, for each Frosty product purchased (including the original, parfaits, shakes and floats), participating Wendy’s will donate 50-cents to Wendy’s Wonderful Kids.

2. Use a mobile-friendly website to check in at Wendy’s: Wendy’s will donate 50-cents for every customer that checks in at Wendy’s restaurants during Father's Day Weekend (June 16 and 17 only) using Wendy’s special mobile-friendly website found at www.wendys.com/treatitforward.

3. Re-tweet: Now through Father’s Day, re-tweet one of @Wendys special Twitter posts with the hashtag #TreatItFwd—and Wendy’s will make a 50-cent donation. You can follow @Wendys on Twitter at http://twitter.com/wendys.
