Hollywood Darlings Premieres on Pop TV and Interview with the Stars

Are you curious about what some of your favorite child stars look like and what they do now that they are grown-ups? Pop's new original comedy series Hollywood Darlings reunites three fan favorite child stars of the 90s: Jodie Sweetin (Full House, Fuller House), Christine Lakin (Step By Step) and Beverley Mitchell (7th Heaven), who now take on bigger roles as moms, wives and businesswomen. The show premieres on Wednesday, April 12, 8pm ET/PT. Learn more about the show below and be sure to tune in when it goes live!

Hollywood Darlings turns the camera on real-life friends who are bonded by a sisterhood that only they can share as former child stars who grew up in the 90’s limelight – Jodie Sweetin, Christine Lakin and Beverley Mitchell. In this improvised comedy, the three actresses play exaggerated versions of themselves in their current Hollywood lives. With the support of one another, this girl squad can take on anything when it comes to parenting, marriage, friendship and revived careers in Hollywood. Their social circles include other celebrities, who will make special appearances throughout the series.

Men of a Certain Age Premieres 12/7

On Monday, December 7, 2009, TNT Original Productions will bring us a whole new TV series known as Men of a Certain Age. Starring award-winning actors Ray Romano (title character from Everybody Loves Raymond), Scott Bakula (Quantum Leap, Star Trek: Enterprise) and Andre Braugher (Homicide: Life on the Street, Salem’s Lot), the show follows the lives of three ordinary men in their late 40s and explores the unique bonds of male friendship among Joe (Romano), Terry (Bakula), and Owen (Braugher) as they navigate through the changes and challenges of mid-life.
TNT has recently invited me to an exclusive preview of Men of a Certain Age's first episode. I didn't think I would be very much into a men-centered story (No offense, please). But darn, I was wrong. The incredible cast deeply impressed me with their natural acting and I laughed my little heart out at the truck scene (I'll refrain from giving out any spoilers. You've got to watch the show yourself when it airs!). Each main character is so well-presented that it's not hard to tell them apart after the first few minutes of the show. Their lives seem real and un-dramatic as if you were watching a home video from your neighbors or acquaintances. Well, it's still too early to tell how the ups and downs will unravel in the show, but it'll sure hook you up if you love good humor and stories that you can easily relate to.

The premiere episode of Men of a Certain Age is set to debut Monday, 12/7, at 10/9c, following an all-new episode of the TNT’s hit series The Closer. Please remember to tune in for this all-star performance. For now, you may check out this short preview along with more details about the show at TNT website.

The Good Wife Season Premiere

Looking for a good late night show this fall? Check out CBS new drama series called The Good Wife, which premieres on Tuesday, September 22nd. Starring Emmy Award winner Julianna Margulies (ER) and Chris Noth (Mr. Big from Sex and the City). The Good Wife follows a wife and mother as she assumes full responsibility for her family and re-enters the workforce after her husband's very public sex scandal and political corruption lands him in jail. After 13 years out of the courtroom, Alicia (Margulies) starts over by pursuing her original career as a defense attorney. The series will unravel her adventures in the man's world.

As a mom and wife myself, I'd be interested in finding out how Alicia transforms herself from embarrassed politician's scorned wife to resilient career woman for the sake of providing a stable home for her children. I look forward to seeing her trade in her identity as the "good wife" and take charge of her own destiny.

Before its premiere on Tuesday, September 22nd, you may preview the episodes on YouTube and on CBS.

I received a Thank You gift from CBS for helping spread the word about this new show.
