My Review:

The Blind is an empowering film with heart-wrenching moments that reveal real-life struggles and challenges the Robertsons were faced with back in the 1950s and 1960s. Told from Phil Robertson's perspective, the story starts with the kind of family he was born into, why he started duck hunting and became so good at it, and his romantic relationship with Miss Kay, who married him despite all the obstacles. It moves on to the bad choices he made and the consequences he had to bear. The devastating effects of alcoholism on his personality, his career and his family are hard to watch. Thankfully, his wife, his siblings and his pastor didn't give him up. The transformative power of love, family and faith helped him get back on his feet, breaking free from addiction and away from toxic friends. The film's autobiographical approach makes it more engaging and convincing. It's a story of forgiveness and redemption that gives anyone going through a tough time hope and strength to start a whole new life.

Please note that some intense thematic elements are included to show the raw, true story of the Robertsons, such as smoking, drinking, abuse, and minor language that may be triggering. The film is rated PG-13.
