The story of Hawaiian jewelry began in the late 1800s when King Kaukauna visited the royal courts of England. He was then presented with a gift for Princess Liliuokalani at the Queen Victorias Jubilee at the time of Prince Albert’s death. Bracelets were made in his remembrance by the request of Queen Victoria and Queen Liliuokalani enameled lettering was reflecting the loss of their beloved Prince.
