Synopsis:

My Review:
Touching and empowering, Still Hope is a well-made movie that zooms in on the tough topic of human trafficking. What makes it unique is that it not only covers the abduction and abuse the young girl has to go through, but also addresses the challenges she has to face during the recovery process. The story doesn't just end when Hope gets rescued and the traffickers get arrested. It continues to follow Hope's healing journey, through which her faith, her confidence and her hope are gradually restored, with the support of her family, her counselor and her fellow survivors.
While it's tempting to think that things would go back to normal naturally for a survivor, Still Hope brings us closer to the harsh reality, showing the considerable courage and time it takes to feel safe again, to resume love for life, and even to forgive the culprits of everything one has to endure. It helps raise awareness about the danger of human trafficking and the ruses criminals use to target different age groups. It also encourages victims and their loved ones to never give up hope for reunion and recovery.
