My Review:
Superhero Faith is a cheerful and heartwarming book that follows a cute little girl called Faith and her devoted four-legged sidekick Sparkle as they embark on a secret superhero mission. Like most kids, Faith loves to do all sorts of fun things together with Sparkle, such as reading, drawing, swimming, eating ice cream, and going wild on the playground. What makes the duo special though, is their willingness and readiness to help grandma around the house! From fetching her cane, to cooling her off with a hand fan, and to making her a healthy treat, Faith and Sparkle never stop trying to put their superpowers to best use. Wonder where Faith gets her superpowers from? Read the book to find out!
Written in a lighthearted and humorous tone, the book draws the reader close to both the real and imaginary worlds of the lovely characters. The colorful and highly expressive illustrations add immense vitality to the characters and the story. What's more impressive is the uplifting message being delivered. Many kids have imagined themselves to be superheros of some sort. What defines a superhero, however, is not what their superpowers are but what their superpowers are used for. Young as she is, Faith sets a superb example by being kind, loving, considerate, helpful, and health conscious. She also shows the simple and practical steps a child may take to grow into a kindness superhero.
