Saving Christmas In Theaters 11/14! Movie Review & Swag Giveaway

What is Christmas all about? What does it mean to you? Why do we celebrate Christmas the way to do now? There are some of the questions that Saving Christmas encourages us to seek an answer for throughout the movie. Starring Kirk Cameron, best known for his role as Mike Seaver in Growing Pains, Saving Christmas is in theaters for a limited engagement beginning November 14 for two weeks only!

Synopsis:
This Christmas, have your family join with Kirk Cameron’s family and dive headfirst into all the joy, dancing, celebration, feasting, imagination, and traditions that glorify the true “reason for the season.” Kirk Cameron's Saving Chrismtas is an engaging story that provides a biblical basis for our time-honored traditions and celebrations, and the inspiration to stand against a culture that wants to trivialize and eliminate the faith elements of the holy season.

I was invited to attend an online screening of Kirk Cameron's Saving Chrismtas and I was most impressed with how thought-provoking this movie is. There are so many things we've taken granted for about Christmas and all the traditions and celebrations. Kirk Cameron challenges us to put Christ back into Christmas and rethink why Christmas is such an important holiday for so many people around the world.

The entire story is told from a first person perspective. Kirk Cameron is both the narrator and the main character. The movie also involves lots of monologues. I wouldn't say this is a Christmas movie for young kids. It's more for those who are seeking the true meaning of Christmas as well as those who are cynical about the holiday and tend to see the worst in even the best of things. The movie sparks your imagination by recreating scenes from the bible and exploring the symbolic significance of the swaddling cloth of Jesus.
