Dedicated to making holiday shopping and gifting a breeze, SWAGG would like to find out the best gift ever given by some of the Clever Girls. My first reaction to this question was to scratch my head. Geez, this is a hard one. When I choose a gift, I try to imagine myself as the recipient and anticipate if she will like it or not. To me, a crappy gift is worse than no gift. In the last couple years, gift cards have become the best and easiest option when it comes to shopping for holiday gifts. People love to have the freedom of choice at their favorite stores. Since a lot of gift cards don't expire, they can shop whenever they want.

I have never sent any gift cards to those that I feel close to. I prefer to gift them something that can last longer, something they can use in their daily life and something that shows that I care about them deeply. The best gift isn't necessarily the most expensive gift. I think the best gift I've ever given to my mom is a foot spa massager I bought at Walmart. It really helps warm her up and relax before going to bed. She's been using it almost every day for over a year. She told me that she thinks of me every time she uses it.

The best judge of the best gift I ever gave may be one of the recipients. So I asked my husband what he thinks is the best gift I gave him.Guess what he told me? While he loves all the thoughtful gifts I carefully chose for him, his favorite is the handmade Valentine's Day card I sent him years ago, before we got married. I'm quite surprised that he still remembers that small gift. He explained that the gift is truly unique and priceless for him because it's the only one you can find in the world and it's filled with love. I was speechless.
