Thank You Mom Contest

Right before Mother's Day, Proctor & Gamble kicked off the "Thank You Mom Reunions" contest, which will run through November and award 105 contestants a prize package composed of $1,000 gift card and a portable digital video camera. The gift card is intended to help cover the cost of a special reunion with the winner's mom or mom figure in her life while the portable digital video camera can be used to capture the reunion. Winners are also encouraged to share their videos on www.ThankYouMom.com.

The "Thank You Mom" contest is aimed to touch and improve the lives of families across the country in small, but meaningful ways & help celebrate the role moms play in our families. This is the perfect contest for those who want to renuite with their moms but are unable to do so on their own.

Here's how you can enter to win:

First, submit an original essay of under 600 characters describing your great relationship with your mom or why you want to be re-connected with your mom.

Second, top 30 finalists chosen by a panel of judges each month will be posted on www.ThankYouMom.com. Website visitors will be invited to vote for their favorite entries.

15 entries with the most votes will be the final monthly winners.

Each person may enter once per month, but can win only once.

I'll probably enter to win a sweet reunion with my mom, but I'd like to take this opportunity to thank my mother-in-law for raising such a wonderful husband for me and for offering us unconditional help whenever we need it! Whenever she visits us, she'll volunteer to take over most of the housework. She showed appreciation for every gift I picked for her. She remembers my likes and dislikes. She even sided with me when my husband and I had an argument. I'm so happy to have two awesome moms in my life.
