I'm truly amazed by a mom's potential for innovation when it comes to taking better care of her children. TruKid is another great example of products that are made by mom, with children's best interest in mind.

TruKid was invented by Jennifer, because there weren't a lot of children's products on the market to choose from, and a lot of the stuff out there was chemical-filled and unhealthy, or smelled "yucky" according to her kids. While Jennifer was hesitant to use those products on her children, the straw that broke the camel's back was when she found them playfully applying her wrinkle cream. She realized that a concoction used to zap crows' feet probably wasn't very suitable for their youthful skin, so she set out to make something that was. Using only natural ingredients, and essential oils to make scents that children love, she created an easy system, made up of products accompanied with fun songs and poems, that kids would want to use themselves. The rest as they say, was [TruKid™] history.

Their Bubbly Body Wash has a very pleasant coconut scent. It is very mild on the munchkins' skin. It is gentle and of course they love the bubbles! I also like the fact that it cleans off all the dirt from playing without drying out their skin.

Their Sunny Day's Sunblock is fantastic! It is SPF 30+ and water resistant. This really helps since we are in the pool so much this summer. It is also unscented and non-toxic. The kids like it too!

AquaSport SPF 30 was just rated the top sunscreen in the June 2012 Consumer Report Sunscreen report. The company’s other sunscreens scored high in the June Sunscreen report issued by the Environmental Working Group, which looks for products that are not harmful to children or the environment.

AquaSport SPF 30 is oxybenzone-free and has full-spectrum protection from UVA (skin cancer) and UVB (sunburn) rays. With non-nano and un-coated zinc oxide, it is natural, non-whitening, non-greasy and fragrance free Lotion or Spray that will not cause eye stinging. It is water and sweat resistant and is proven to be effective after 80 minutes in water.

I used this on my family when we went to the beach and I can say this works. My son is very fair skin and burns easy. While using the AquaSport my son did not burn nor get red. This lasted while we were swimming and playing in the water. I plan on using this when we go to the beach again. I was very happy that I had a chance to review this.

Let's Play Review #1: KINeSYS Sunscreen

It's extremely important to protect our kids from sun exposure during the summer. Applying sunscreen, wearing protective clothing, and playing in the shade are all great strategies to help reduce the risk of sunburn for children playing outdoors. Yet it is not always easy to find a kid sunscreen that's both safe and effective. I'm so glad to be introduced to KINeSYS sunscreen , which includes a dedicated product line for kids and is good to use for the entire family.


KINeSYS sunscreens are unique in many aspects. They are the only sunscreens that are 100% carbon neutral (manufactured with clean and sustainable electricity generated by wind power), 100% cruelty free (not tested on animals and certified vegan), and 100% recyclable (packaged in BPA-free, fully recyclable bottles). While providing broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection, they are FREE from oil, alcohol, PABA and preservative. They are water and sweat-resistant. They are also hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic. The fun-shaped bottles are also very easy for the little hands to grip. It's in fact the first time I've ever tried any spray sunscreen. Every time I started to apply the conventional cream suncreen, my son tried very hard to push the tube away. Apparently, he doesn't like the greasiness. By contrast, he giggled when I sprayed KINeSYS KIDS on his arms and legs. He enjoyed this novel experience. The application was fast, easy, and effortless. I'm happy to learn that the non-aerosol sprayer used by KINeSYS is eco-friendly! I like that the kids sunscreen is fragrance-free, non-irritating, fast-drying, and leaves no residue on skin.

The GIRL spray is the latest addition to the kids product line. Packaged in a girly pink bottle, it's gently scented with vanilla green tea (What a sweet choice!). Like the other KINeSYS sunscreens, it has all the great features I have summarized earlier. But it's designed with the active female in mind :)
