My Review:

Weaving together personal narratives, close-up interviews and insightful comments, He Calls Me Daughter strikes me as a touching, healing film about faith, family, forgiveness and unconditional love. By featuring women with vastly different backgrounds, the documentary makes the shocking revelation about the long-term detrimental impact of father wounds on their families, their relationships and even their mental health. More importantly, it shows how faith helps those women feel loved, seen and needed. Although their earthly fathers have hurt or failed them, their heavenly father never will. Faith gives them strength while forgiveness gives them joy and peace.

Emotional and inspirational, He Calls Me Daughter raises awareness about the prevalence and severity of issues associated with father wounds.
