Powered by imagination and artistic talent, My Way Home is an enjoyable read with a heartwarming message about love and what matters most in life. The story revolves around a little boy named Kit, a member of the Little Folk who are no taller than a pine needling but who are brave warriors. One night after feasting on the village's stored food, a fox escapes with Little Folk's precious crystal looping around its neck. Fully aware of the significance the crystal carries, Kit is determined to track down the fox and retrieve the treasure. Will he overcome the limitation of his size and strength?

Told from the perspective of the miniature boy, the story shows how the normal sized world looks differently in the eyes of the Little Folk and what unqiue challenges they have to face. The village of Hollow Chestnut is brought to life with exceptionally vivid and realistic illustrations, providing a wealth of details that complement the text and make the story even more fascinating. Kit's courage and perseverance are inspiring to young readers, while his smart triumph proves the power of creative problem solving. A disadvantage can be turned into an advantage with wits and strategy. Furthermore, the sweet ending reveals what is deemed far more precious than the crystal.

Beautifully illustrated and thoughtfully written, My Way Home will delight and encourage young readers as they follow Kit's journey home.
