While the boy continues to take center stage in this story, a lot of new characters are joining the show. In line with the Christmas spirit, readers get to meet members from the boy's extended family and learn about their traditions regarding Christmas celebration.The boy experiments with various crazy ways to decorate his backside so as to amplify his excitement about the most important holiday of the year. After he realizes what Christmas is all about however, he changes his mind, unaware of the sweet surprise awaiting him under the tree.
Besides its funny illustrations, the book appeals to young readers with its brilliant use of mixed colors, fonts and shapes in the text. The way a certain word is printed suggests what action, emotion and color it's associated with.
