My Review:
Rambee Boo's Lake Vacation is a short and sweet rhyming book that follows Rambee Boo as he goes on a summer vacation at the lake with his family, including Rock, Mom and Dad. During the week-long vacation, Rock and Rambee explore the great outdoors and enagage themselves in a variety of fun activities, such as swimming, fishing, boating and roasting marshmallows over a campfire. Rambee loves to take his favorite sock with him wherever he goes, but he tends to leave Sock behind when he gets completely absorbed in each new outdoor adventure. Will he remember to take Sock home eventually?
The colorful and realistic illustrations of the book play a significant role in enriching the story and building adorable characters that children can relate to. The calendar in the pictures helps young readers learn about days of the week, while they are encouraged to help Rambee spot the hidden Sock. On the one hand, the story helps cultivate children's love for nature and outdoor activities; on the other, it motivates them to learn to take care of themselves, their belongings, and their loves ones. About the Author:
I began writing THE RAMBEE BOO SERIES after we added a fur baby to our family, during the Covid-19 pandemic quarantine. The characters in the series are based off my youngest son Rocky (aka Rock), and our rambunctious puppy Rambo (aka Rambee Boo). Whenever there's trouble, these two are usually at the center of it! I graduated from West Windsor-Plainsboro High school in 2000 and went on to get my B.A. from Rutgers University, New Brunswick. I currently live in New Jersey with my husband, my three children and of course…my Rambee Boo! I've always had a great love for children's books and started collecting them in college. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to write my own series to add to our collection. I hope these books will continue to grow and foster children's love for reading. I can only hope that my readers enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoy writing them!
