My Review
As a huge fan of Don’t Wake the Dragon, it is exciting to see so many familiar faces back in action in this playful, highly interactive new book with a more complex storyline. The three little mice and the cat have teamed up on a new mission -- to cheer up the dragon, who is not asleep but very unhappy because none of her friends are able to show up on her celebration party for the annual Friendship Festival. She's been waiting for this day all year long. Just imagine how disappointed and irritable she could get right now, as indicated by the smoke coming out of her nostrils! The reader is invited to join in the brainstorm about ideas to help cool her off and to convince her that she is indeed being loved.
Let's try counting to ten, saying something kind, stroking her back, telling her a joke, singing and dancing, and a lot more! Great progress has been made, but none of those attempts seems to work better than the big surprise the Dragon gets at the end of the story. What could it be? You've got to read the book to find out.
I continue to be fascinated by the interative features, charming artwork, and adorable characters in this follow-up book. Better yet, the new book offers young readers even more ways to interact with the story and encourages them to be creative, active, kind and considerate. Everyone loves to be loved. It really matters when you go out of your way to show your love for your friends and someone you care about deeply. Valentine's Day is coming up in few weeks. Who Loves the Dragon? is the perfect book to read around that time to help the little ones understand the true meaning of love and friendship!

In this interactive follow-up to Don’t Wake the Dragon, our beloved Dragon is wide-awake and preparing to celebrate one of the kingdom’s most important events of the year: the annual Friendship Festival! It’s a time for everyone to gather and have fun, all honoring their meaningful friendships. But on the day of the feast, the cooks are called away to cater to the Queen and the knights must report for special duty in the Enchanted Forest. With everyone gone, Dragon is upset and worried that this year’s Friendship Festival is doomed. Could they be planning something special for her? And in the meantime, can you help cheer her up? With colorful and humorous illustrations throughout, this read-aloud picture book encourages kids to interact with the text on every page. Young readers will love waving to characters, blowing kisses, dancing, and more on this fun ride alongside Dragon and her adorable friends in this delightful story that will beg to be read again and again.
