Now playing in theaters and starring Emily Blunt, The Girl on the Train is a psychological thriller based on the debut novel of the same name by Paula Hawkins. I haven't got a chance to watch the movie yet, but I really enjoyed reading the book a few months ago. The book was #1 New York Times Bestseller and USA Today Book of the Year. I love the unique way the story is told, through dairies of the three major female characters: Rachel, Anna and Megan, each with a distinctive personality and their own set of problems to deal with in life. The three women got connected in an unusual and not-so-pleasant way. And like all good mysteries, the story concludes with a surprise ending that is sure to blow the readers away.

Here's a summary of the book:

Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning and night. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck.
