Let's Play Giveaway #7: Twilight Sea Turtle by Cloud BP

I could hardly make any positive connection between Play and Sleep until I came cross Cloud B, who carries an amazing line of toys that help children sleep. I have a super active toddler, who tends to think of sleep as a punishment and repeatedly tried to escape from bed even when he was extremely drowsy and tired. Gosh, it was so time- and energy-consuming trying to put him to sleep.

It was daytime and the lighting effects weren't really visible, but my son had a great time playing with his new buddy-cuddling its body, touching its soft head and legs, and pointing at the colorful pictures on its shell. The three of us were fascinated by the blue, green, and aqua starry night projected on our ceiling!!! There was also one or two smiling crescents among the stars, depending on which button we pushed. We had a blast switching between the buttons and watching the changes in our "sky". There were a lot of "wow", "ah" sounds that night.

The Twilight Sea Turtle is no ordinary nightlight. It has been proven to help children sleep easier. To be honest, I was skeptical about this claim at first. But over time its soothing effects become more evident. It didn't take long for my son to grasp how to operate the nightlight. After a few nights, he began to associate the Twilight Sea Turtle with bedtime. When I tell him it's time for bed, he'll willingly climb onto his bed, sit beside the turtle and start to play with the lights. He'll look up at the ceiling after each button push and grin with gratification. After about 15 minutes of star gazing, he'll lie down and listen to my humming or storytelling, and fall asleep after some toss-and-turns. It has significantly saved me time and hassle.

The Twilight Sea Turtle is educational too. It helps bring awareness to endangered sea animals.Pushing one of the three buttons repeatedly will highlight in turn five endangered species: the Blue Whale, California Sea Otter, Knysna Seahorse, Leatherback Turtle and Vaquita Dolphin. The attached Twilight Storybook includes an interesting Twilight Sea Turtle story, a star guide to help identify constellations and an adoption certificate.

This incredibly loveable product retails for $38.00 and can be bought either at Cloud B website or a number of toy retailers. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Conservation International.
