Energizer Ultimate Lithium and National Geographic are calling all photographer enthusiasts to enter their second annual Ultimate Photo contest! Everyone is welcome to enter a photo in one of six thematic categories: animals/wildlife, nature,people and cultures, travel, weather and inspiration/Keep Going® by the end of June. All entries will be judged by the award-winning photojournalist Jim Richardson. The Grand Prize is a 10-day National Geographic Expeditions trip for two to the Galápagos Islands! The winning photo will also be featured in National Geographic magazine. You may get a sneak peek of the current entries below.After Richardson select two finalists from each category, between August 14 and September 15, Americans will be given the opportunity to review each of the category finalists and vote for their favorite in each category. You may enter now for your shot at the fabulous grand prize or wait until the voting period to help choose the grand winner. Regardless, Energizer and National Geographic would love you to win a great prize package on my blog just for checking out their hot contest.

I love the polar bear photo (the first image), but my favorite has to be the Jason Rossi photo of his newborn daughter holding his wife's hand. The story behind it is powerful and the image is beautiful.
