ReplyDeletemy favorite vacation was Baden Baden Germany. We stayed at a lovely bed and breakfast, woke to the sounds of church bells. spend the day, shopping or hiking in the woods the afternoons soaking in the spas (the natural hot spings of Baden Baden have been a tourist spot since roman times) get my back pounded on by a very large German house frau ( that part I rather thought of as the price for enjoying the spas as the German house fruas approached the job of massage with the same energetic enthusiasm as they would kneading bread dough) the evenings spent in the casino. At which I did well enough to pay for the vacation.
