~~The giveaway is now CLOSED. Congrats to winner Pamela!~~
As a meaningful way to embrace the new year, we may do our part to help millions of people still starving in this country. According to Feeding America, approximately 5.7 million different people receive emergency food assistance from the organization in any given week. To raise awareness about the national issue of hunger, Hamburger Helper® is partnering with GRAMMY® Award-winning singer, songwriter and actor Tim McGraw to help Feeding America deliver millions of meals to local food banks through the Show Your Helping Hand™ campaign. You may watch McGraw's Public Service Announcement for the campaign here.We can all support the campaign by submitting codes from specially marked boxes of Hamburger Helper at www.showyourhelpinghand.com or by logging on the site to make a donation. Hamburger Helper has already donated $525,000 and will contribute up to an additional $100,000 to Feeding America through this program. For each code submitted, Hamburger Helper will donate 17 cents, which is enough for Feeding America to deliver one meal to a local food bank! A code can make a difference! If you already purchase Hamburger Helper, why not submit the code to help? It'll only take a few seconds of your time.
Hamburger Helper will make a $10 donation to the Show Your Helping Hand™ campaign on my behalf because of my participation in this blog campaign. MyBlogSpark also kindly offered me a prize pack to keep and an additional one to give away. As shown in the picture above, the prize pack includes a box of Hamburger Helper skillet meals, a Hamburger Helper foam “Helping Hand” and a copy of Tim McGraw’s “Southern Voice” CD.

Fighting against hunger in general means, coming together as a community to find out where we can fix things, such as lowering the low income level for free lunches at schools, ever little change counts.
